About the Staff

Terry Hughes

General Manager

A native of Houston, Texas, Terry came to Colorado by way of Arizona. He attended Arizona State University where he had a joint major in Criminal Justice and Electrical Engineering. Utilizing his law enforcement training, he served four years as a Tribal Police Officer in Arizona on the Navajo Indian Reservation in the Four Corners Area before moving to Colorado in 1987. Prior to joining the Firm in 2003, Terry has had a business association with the Firm since 1996. Terry worked for several years as a Loss Prevention Security Manager and Operations Manager for several national corporations and also has been employed in the Retail Management field. Terry is married to Sandy and has an adult son and daughter, as well as another son in college. Terry and his family reside in Arapahoe County. A great sports enthusiast, he has coached youth football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. His hobbies are hunting, fishing, and golf. Terry's principle operations responsibilities at the Firm include business management, overseeing the eviction services for clients, and coordinating staff workflow.


Janet Monroe

Senior Paralegal

A California native by birth, Janet, because of her father's work, spent her formative years living in many places including Europe. However, Janet comes by her love of the Rocky Mountain West and Colorado, in particular, through her mother's family who are Weld County natives. A psychology major at the University of Wyoming, she also has a paralegal background. Janet currently has future plans to learn and master the Spanish language. An avid reader and movie buff, she is a practitioner of yoga. Janet has been a volunteer at Ocean Journey and presently is active in the Fairmount Heritage Foundation dedicated to the preservation and protection of Fairmont's history, flora, fauna, and statuary. Prior to joining the Firm, Janet was employed by a major financial services institution and involved in all phases of financial services and planning. Janet's keen intellect and organizational skills are valuable assets at the Firm. Her primary responsibilities at the Firm include working directly with Senior Managing Partner Mark Tschetter on special projects and providing legal research and support for all of the attorneys.


Tracy Gallegos

Senior Eviction Supervisor

Tracy was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico and raised in northern California. She moved to Colorado in 1994 and was employed as a Customer Service Representative at Kinko's prior to the birth of her daughter Tai. Tracy brought her superior organizational skills to the Firm in 1999. When not doing special things with her daughter, Tracy plays softball, likes to hike, and is a music enthusiast. She also volunteers at Helping Hands teaching handicap children to ride horses. The majority of Firm clients are well acquainted with Tracy and her can-do positive attitude. Her primary responsibilities are managing and overseeing the daily staff interaction dealing with eviction cases, including the preparation, tracking, and filing of eviction documents, as well as handling the sheriff writs.


Megan Sadler

Eviction Services Coordinator

Meg is that rare person known as a true Denver Native.   A welcome addition to the Evictions Department, Meg has spent her whole life in the Denver area.  After graduating from St Mary’s Academy, Meg earned a degree in Animation, which these days she utilizes in her free time, where she enjoys drawing and painting.    Prior to joining the Firm, Megan was employed as a claims technician with a medical company.  This experience of attention to detail and customer service has translated perfectly to her responsibilities in the Evictions Department where she deals with clients on daily basis verifying three-day notices, calling for court results and processing evictions. In addition to her interest in Art, Meg also loves to spend time with her husky Phoenix.

Judy Pretzer

Eviction Services Coordinator

Recently new to the Denver area from Las Cruces, New Mexico HTS is proud to welcome Judy to the Firm’s Eviction Team.    Born in Wiesbaden Germany and reared in El Paso, Texas, Judy relocated to New Mexico after graduating high school.   As many of our clients already know, she brings a cheerful personality and professionalism to the HTS Eviction Department.  Prior to her relocation to Colorado, Judy managed the ArtsY Gallery of Creativity In Las Cruces, NM where she utilized her skills as a photographer and graphic designer.  Her experience in dealing with people, problem solving and technical accuracy serve her well in her transition to working in a legal office.  These days, Judy is busy processing eviction cases, communicating to clients the status of their cases, and verifying 3-day notices.  In her free time, Judy likes to read, take photographs, paint and travel.  She also enjoys attending concerts, and is very excited to have moved to such lively music scene.


Colleen Love

Accounting Administrator

Colleen is a native of Michigan, but due to her father's employment in the oil industry, she grew up in North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, California, Texas and finally landed in Colorado where she graduated from Golden High School in 1982. She attended Red Rocks College and is currently enrolled in an evening and weekend paralegal course of study at Aurora Community College. Colleen lives in Douglas County with her husband Bob, who is a U.S. postal carrier, and their two sons, Kellen and Jake, who are both attending college. Colleen has always made time in her busy schedule to attend her sons' baseball games but will now miss out on most of her oldest son's games because he is playing baseball at a college in California. Prior to joining the Firm, she was employed as a Switch Translator for a Telecommunications Company. Colleen's primary responsibilities at the Firm are in the area of Accounting, but she also is involved in the preparation and handling of eviction and HOA documents.

Sara LeRoy

Client Situation Manager

Born and raised in the Denver area, Sara joins the Firm with a positive attitude and wide variety of legal experience. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked with a number of legal firms as a freelance paralegal and subsequently, at the Law Firm of Bell and Pollock.   A graduate of Bennett High School, Sara completed her graduation requirements in just three years.   She spent what would have been her senior year enrolled in Morgan Community College where she earned an Associates degree and went on to enroll in their Paralegal program. Sara’s extensive work in the legal community coupled with her intelligent approach to problem solving uniquely qualifies her to assume the demanding role of HTS Client Situation Manager.    When not dealing with client problems Sara enjoys being a mom to her young daughter, snowboarding, hiking and practicing Kravmage, a defensive form of martial arts, in which she has attained a Level 2 mastery. A talented vocalist and musician, Sara also plays five instruments.

Eve Lincoln

Client and Public Relations Manager

A native of Pennsylvania, Eve has resided in Colorado for over fifty years. She is the mother of five, four sons and one daughter, and the grandmother of nine - five grandsons and four granddaughters. When not professionally occupied, the majority of her time is spent at various sporting and other activities of her grandchildren, which include tennis, baseball, football, soccer, basketball, debate, and theater. She is an avid reader and fanatic sports enthusiast. If possible, she never misses a Broncos, Avalanche, or Yankees game. Prior to joining the Firm in January of 2004, Eve had a lengthy career in public and government relations working in both the public and political sectors. Her experience includes managing U.S. Senate and Congressional campaigns, employment as Government Relations Officer for a Fortune 500 independent oil company, and working as a registered lobbyist for the oil and gas industry in Washington D.C., California, Texas, Montana, and Colorado. She also has been a senior manager in a top national mortgage company. Her responsibilities at the Firm include producing the newsletter, coordinating educational seminars including the production of training materials and PowerPoint presentations. She is also responsible for website design and management, planning and managing special Firm functions and serves as liaison with trade and professional groups and their programs.


Matt Hopkins

Client & Public Relations Assistant

Born and raised in Littleton, Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder with an emphasis in marketing in 2005. Matt is the son of Firm founding partner Phil Hopkins. Associated with Hopkins Tschetter Sulzer since 2004, Matt interned at the Firm during college until joining the staff full-time upon graduation. After a brief stint pursuing outside interests while maintaining a consulting role with the firm, Matt rejoined Hopkins Tschetter Sulzer during summer 2007. An avid college football fan, Matt is a devoted Colorado Buffaloes supporter. He also enjoys going to the movies and attending concerts. Matt's chief responsibilities at the Firm involve client relations and marketing tasks including newsletter production, client luncheon coordination, website updates and assisting in workshop presentations. Matt is also involved in working with our various apartment associations which includes development of materials and designs for the Firm trade show presentations.

Michael Gardner

Client & Public Relations Assistant

Michael brings his integrity and sense of humor to the Firm. Born and raised in the San Francisco bay area, Michael moved cross-country to attend Boston University as a history major before finally settling in Colorado. Michael's chief responsibilities at the Firm involve client relations and marketing tasks including newsletter production, client luncheon coordination, website updates and assisting in workshop presentations. Michael is also involved in working with our various apartment associations which includes development of materials and designs for the Firm trade show presentations. During his previous work at the Harvard Club in Boston, Michael had the opportunity to rub elbows with such celebrities as Ted Kennedy and Jane Fonda. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, attending concerts, and cheering for the Boston Red Sox.


Tom Gibbs

Administrative Services

Tom is responsible for filing all of the Firm cases correctly and punctually with the courts. This is a second career for Tom who retired from his employment of twenty years with Shamrock Foods last year. Tom grew up on a farm in eastern Iowa, but has resided in Colorado for over 35 years. He has always had a keen interest in music, and as a young man he played keyboard, drums, and guitar for a band called Neon Staircase. Tom married his high school sweetheart Barbara, and together they have three grown children. Toms interests include bowling, poker, and travel.


Jennifer Sell

Receptionist/Legal Assistant

A native of California, Jen moved to Canon City at the age of 3.  After graduating from Canon City High School, she attended Colorado State University where she majored in history.  Jen’s long-term plans include going to law school, where she intends to focus on family law.  Jennifer comes to HTS already familiar with the ins-and-outs of the property management industry thanks to her previous experience as an apartment manager in the Fort Collins area.  Her sunny disposition and calm demeanor in dealing with clients, phones and the attorneys make her ideally suited to be the front desk face of the Firm.  When she isn’t cheering on the CSU Rams football team, Jen enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and reading.
